About the Artist
Jessica Fine has always been an artist. First mentored by her high school art teacher, she continued her studies at Pratt Institute,NY, and The School of the Art Institute, IL She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts, with honors, from Valparaiso University, IN. She was hired by Valparaiso after graduation to teach oil painting. Jessica has been teaching oil and pastel classes since then, as well as color theory of pastel-making.
Award-winning oil and pastel artist, Jessica Fine’s work has been featured in 5 books, including Best of America- Pastel Artist Vol 11, Masters of Today, and Trends, published internationally (available on Amazon). Magazine articles include The Pastel Journal, American Artist, The Artist’s Magazine and Art International Contemporary Magazine.
Museum exhibits include The Butler Institute of American Art, the Haggin Museum, Spertus Museum, Slater Museum, Lauren Rogers Museum, as well as The National Arts Club and The Salmagundi Club in NY.
Permanent collections include Northwestern Memorial Prentice Women’s Hospital, Silver Cross Hospital and the Swedish American Museum as well as private collections around the world.
